1. Public Service Advertising Campaigns
The Media Alliance is calling for submissions of the best of public service advertising (PSA) messages and campaigns aired or published in 2010-11 for featuring in an online showcase.
Advertising/PR agencies, media companies, non-governmental organizations and international development agencies are encouraged to submit messages created for public awareness of pro-social and sustainable development issues.
The Media Alliance will host the showcase on its website to raise awareness of the scope and creativity of public service advertising campaigns that have been created for television, radio, print, cinema, outdoor, online and social media.
The showcase will feature the best of examples of public service advertising, and public awareness and behavior change campaigns on issues of social relevance and interest.
The showcase will enable content to be promoted to the organization's media partners and therefore should be appropriate and suitable for Asia-Pacific regional usage. Submissions must be rights and usage free and available for onward use by other interested media outlets.
Soft files of the content and supporting documentation such as synopses of the campaign/content or description of the project should accompany the submissions.
Additional information that would be useful would include:
- who the campaign was created for
- who funded it
- where it was used
- impact and audience reach
- details of whether the campaign was measured and how
2. Media CSR Policies and Practices
Additionally, The Media Alliance is calling for submissions from media companies and advertising/PR agencies of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policies and Practices for listing in an online database.
The purpose of the database is to reflect best practices in the media and advertising industries and to better identify opportunities for development institutions and private-sector corporations with CSR initiatives to establish synergistic partnerships within these sectors.
